There are many people I work with one on one. The most important criteria I look for in a person is a willingness to make changes. Secondly, it is their willingness to take risks that they normally would not take. If they are open and willing to do these things I can guarantee success for them. If I believe they cannot make changes in their life or self, take new risks, face their fears and be willing to overcome them then I will not be able to work with them. Anything I would say or teach them would fall on deaf ears. Are you willing to do these things? Even if you do not have someone working with you one on one you need to make a commitment to yourself to challenge yourself to overcome any of these obstacles in your life.
If you cannot pass First Impressions you will be unable to get to any other steps. As a result, you will have very little chance of getting that phone number or first date. If you believe that a first impression is someone you meet online, and have only emailed back and forth, this is truly not a first step or first impression. I say this because I know of people that can put their picture and profile online and then start emailing an interested quarry, but they cannot get past that first meeting in person.
I see this all too often. It may not apply to you, but read it over and make sure you have this covered.
What is the first thing your quarry is going to consider? That’s right how you look; how you dress, how you smell, how well groomed you are, your posture, what you do or don’t do with your hands, arms, legs, feet, eyes, etc. Guys cut your nails, and if for some reason you have a bacteria that is causing you to have yellowish nails try this; go see a dermatologist not your general medical doctor. Or wear a natural color nail polish. Teeth, keep them clean and white. If you have yellow upper teeth and are unable to solve the problem yourself see a dentist. Did you know that only about six front upper teeth are seen when you smile? Those are the only teeth you need to have white. I would even consider having those six teeth capped if you cannot get them clean and healthy looking.
Most men cannot coordinate a good outfit like a woman can. If you are a single guy you should watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guys, a great show on TV every week. Women are the next best resource for getting you all put together. But, do not use a woman’s judgment that has had a difficult time herself getting a man. Not good. Some of the best outfits I have had were purchased by a woman, right down to the socks. The other half of my clothing, have been picked out by stunning saleswomen.Ask yourself this question. When was the last time you changed your hair style? Is it pretty much the same as when you left high school? (If so, not good). If you are in your late 20’s you should have had at least 10 different hair styles, if you are in your 40’s you should have had at least 20. Sometimes just small changes are good, never the less, change is the key word here. Right about now you are likely to be thinking, why is he talking about hair styles? How many hair styles you have had or haven’t had are good indicators of how much you are willing take risk, and make changes. How did you score?
When you are getting ready for that social event where you may meet the love of your life do the following. First, I assume you have a dynamite outfit, the one that makes a statement that you are a man of power, intelligence, confidence, successful, and really knows how to look sharp. Don’t forget, guys, women look at shoes so make sure they are sharp and the correct ones for the outfit. I have seen so many men go out of their way to do everything right but when they sit down with dirty socks or shoes or shoes that do not match the outfit, you have already lost, 75% of the time.
Now let’s assume you look great, the women really like how you look, and are thinking several possible thoughts about now. Wow, who is this guy he looks great. I would like to know what he does for a living. He looks successful, I hope he comes over here and talks to me or asks me to dance.
Before I move on I have one more tip for getting the right look. This outfit should have other purposes like making that sale, getting that new job, making that presentation, making you feel good about yourself, etc. Because this outfit has great value past getting that love partner, do not be cheap, go all out; you should have three of these great outfits.
Let me give you some facts; most men think a great sports car will really help them get that woman. In fact, every auto maker knows guys think this way. Guys, it is so far from the truth. In very large surveys and studies done by universities and by the best social scientists they have established this. Only 7% percent of all the women out there would use a car or truck as one of their reasons to go out with a man.
In fact, in all my years of dating, having had many relationships with fantastic women, I never ever had a fancy car. Furthermore, some of my cars were rusty, had dents and really were not that great. Yet I dated and made love to many beautiful women. There were a couple of women that insisted that we take her car when we went out. But, this did not stop me from having them as a significant other.
Long before I would spend too much money on a car, I would spent it on very nice clothes. Go get a GQ magazine or Men'sHealth as it has all the best looks. Now here is my secret, you will see name brands for these clothes you find in GQ or Men'sHealth you do not need to get a name brand. Just look at colors and patterns. Now, go to a store like J.C. Penney's or even Sears. Ok you are there, now with your magazine in your hand find a female salesclerk, ask her to help you find an outfit like the one in the magazine, tell her it does not need to be that brand but you do want that color and pattern.
Ok guys, you’re are standing in front of your potential love partner and she gives you a 8 to 10 score at this point, what comes next is very important. What comes out of your mouth in the next 2 minutes can make or break everything. You also need to keep control of your body language. We will be talking about that in another newsletter.
