"NO mind games." You have undoubtedly heard this comment before.  Most people are afraid of, or say they don't like playing, "mind games."   John Nash, the brilliant mathematician who lacked any social skills, was portrayed in the movie, A Beautiful Mind, which provided a wonderful example of what not to do.  In the movie he approached a woman in a bar and said, "I don't know exactly what I'm required to say in order for you to have intercourse with me, but can we assume I have said all that, and essentially we're talking about fluid exchange, so can we go straight to the sex?"  Her reply, not surprisingly, was to slap him.

  A flirt would never do this because they enjoy the "game" of flirting.  If you are interested in somebody, flirting with them lets you gauge their response and their level of interest in you.  Flirting can be like putting your toe in the water to check the temperature instead of diving straight in and getting a surprise.
