Hair: Girls care about hair - and nothing can bring out your best features the way a good haircut can. If he asks you which clipper blade to use, it's time to put your childhood barber behind you. Khandput recommends that you shave in the shower, or right after, and that you exfoliate your skin a couple of times a week with a gentle scrub. use a good, moisturizing shaving cream and change your razor blade often. Lose the aftershave: The alcohol in it dries your skin.
Moisturize: Ideally, You'd cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize, and use an eye cream every day. While it sounds like a lot, you can do the whole routine in less than 5 minutes a day - and those 5 minutes will have a dramatic long-term effect.
Moisturizing and cleansing, anyway, are not negotiable. Your moisturizer should have an SPF of 15, and all products should be unscented. You don't have to break the bank on tiny jars of cream (they last forever, anyway), but you probably will want to use something a little better than what you can find in a drugstore.. If you're not sure, ask a female, or go to a department store or grooming salon so you can try before you buy.
Eyebrows: Yes, eyebrows. "There's just no reason for any man to have a caterpillar crawling across his face these days," Khandpur says, and among women all over the world, the unibrow rated pretty high on the "yuck" scale. The key to getting rid of it, without looking like you're ready to break out into a number from La Cage aux Folles? "Tidy rather than shape." You'll look better, and nobody will be the wiser. Khandpur also recommends that you go to a place that specializes in men's brows; you can even get it done at the same time as your haircut. Nose and ear hair is also a deal-breaker; ask the stylist to deal with it for you, or do it at home.
Manicure: You want to put your hands on her body, don't you? Hangnails, bitten cuticles, and calluses all work against you. This is another thing you can get fixed while you're getting your hair cut.
If you don't want to get a manicure - or a handshake improver, which is one of the euphemisms these places use - make sure you take care of business at home. Nails should be short, cut square, and clean at all times, and the skin on your hands should be moisturized.
The Extras: The biggest request Khandpur hears from women? "Deal with his back and shoulder hair." The next? "Deal with his feet." If you want to feel her nails running down your back, perhaps it would be a good idea to deforest it first. (Hint for you monogamous guys: This is a very nice special occasion gift.) And if you forgo a pedicure, it's a courtesy to keep everything neatly trimmed and odor-free.
